A trip to the Cataldo Mission!
9 am to 5 pm Saturday, Sept 21

Held annually in the fall, aspiring young artists & architects have a chance to work directly with local experts and learn drawing skills with an introduction to our history and culture through our architecture, and learn about the historical significance of the mission.

This year, artists will meet at the Human Rights Education Institute in the City Park and be transported via CDA Casino Shuttle buses to the Historic Cataldo Mission. There they will have the opportunity to sketch the mission, the landscape, a variety of artifacts, and even learn a little bit about map making. Young artists will display their art in an exhibit at the Human Rights Education Institute following the day-long event.

This program is available for kids ages 10 and up. The $10 fee covers a sling bag, t-shirt, and a sketchbook, plus art supplies, lunch on site at the Mission, and transportation provided by the CDA Casino.

Kids Draw Architecture 2019 is generously sponsored by the Coeur d'Alene Tribe and the CDA Casino.
